Call for entries: Polyglot Workshop

Dear Nisimasians,

From one European Capital of Culture to another... from Istanbul 2010, to Turku 2011! Following the incredibly successful Istanbul Express journey, our network is organising a video contest on the very same topic of multlingualism, called POLYGLOT.

Remember that 18 winners will be invited to attend the "Cine-Boat" workshop travelling across the archipelago of Turku and to show their work during the Polyglot film festival in the city in June 2011. The contest is open to individuals aged 18-35, living in EU or non-EU countries (see the full eligibility rules here), so most or all NISI MASA members across the network are able to enter. Also, there is no participation fee and all costs are covered.

We hope that there are many of you planning to apply, and that you've been promoting the event to friends and contacts!!

We've even decided to extend the deadline for submissions to the 5th of January 2011, to give you more time over the holidays to create your 5-minute masterpieces.
You can already check out the competition on our vimeo page: www.vimeo.com/groups/polyglot

*SPECIAL UPDATE*
For the filmmaking workshop, we will be renting a large trawler boat which sleeps the whole team and has its own living facilities (bathroom, kitchen) as well as a sauna! So although overnight stops are to be made on the different islands (to prevent any seasickness or cabin fever for those more sensitive souls...), it's going to be a "Cine-Boat" experience in the real sense.

The new press release of the project is in attachment. All other info and promotional materials are available on www.polyglot-turku.eu

Looking forward to recieving your submissions!

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
